⋅ High power handling
⋅ Phase plug for better dispersion
⋅ Aluminum and mesh grille
By introducing our ‘M’-profile ‘W’ cone to a subwoofer for the first time, our engineers were able to develop an unparalleled product, integrating, amongst other things, a 4.7” (120mm) diameter double voice coil and a powerful neodymium motor. These innovations allow it to be integrated into a small sealed enclosure (10L minimum) whilst keeping exceptional dynamics and inimitable audiophile sound.
The key word for this 8” woofer is versatility. Thanks to our new ‘M’-profile ‘W’ sandwich cone combined with our TMD® surround, it is capable of covering an extremely broad frequency range, of playing as well low to bring you excellent dynamics as it is to climbing up to the high-mids to make a perfect transition with our 3.5WM midrange or our TBM tweeter.
Designing a 6.5” woofer that perfectly combines extreme performance, high-end design and shallow depth is a real challenge. Our teams succeeded, by combining the best of our latest technologies: ‘M’-profile ‘W’ sandwich cone, TMD® surround, progressive spider and coupling it with a unique basket design, inspired by French architecture. The result is simple: excellence at all levels.
The design of this ultra-compact midrange speaker driver was made possible thanks to the exclusive use of our new ‘M’-profile ‘W’ sandwich cone, combined, amongst other things, with our TMD® surround and a red neodymium motor, Focal’s signature. Our ears being particularly sensitive around 4kHz, this 3.5” midrange will surprise you with its extreme softness and striking realism.
The culmination of the very best of our latest innovations, our Beryllium tweeter combines for the first time ever our ‘M’-profile dome and our patented TMD® surround. With this new combination, our engineering teams have successfully extended the frequency response and obtained better dispersion. We also get a treble that is unrivalled in its precision, of great finesse, and an incredible soundstage’s width.
